LETTER FROM PATRONS
To Jeanette, Almie and their team: God forgives many sins, but not the bad we do to children. Thank you for balancing this out.
Statistics show that 10 to 20% of abandoned babies die. Usually not long after abandonment.
Which means that out of the plus minus 500 children that were picked up by Tshwane Place of Safety, 50 to 150 would've died. This is an awesome fact. Jeanette, Almie and their team have saved more than Florence Nightingale did, more than Oskar Schindler of the famous list did. They are saving lives. Can there be a more nobler cause?
And what happens to these babies that they save? Well, we were at Jeanette's home a few weeks ago. We spent about two hours taking photographs. In that time not one of Jeanette and Almie's four or five babies there cried - not even a little moan. They seemed - and this struck a few of us - content, happy, safe. No more violence, noise, cold, hunger - just warmth, love and peace.
Sandra and I believe man is a spiritual being going through a physical experience … And that these little humans indicated: 'Here I am, my body is fine, but through my spirit I indicate to you - I am safe. Thank you'
